It is 11:45 a.m. in downtown Beauvais (Oise), Tuesday, October 4, World Animal Day, when firefighters deploy the articulated lifting arm of their truck. The reason ? A dog is on a balcony on the top floor of the houses opposite La Poste, at the corner of rue Gambetta, as passers-by mentioned.
The animal was thus on the windowsill on the third floor and had passed the railing. Jeanne-d’Arc street was therefore blocked to traffic and secured by the municipal police while the firefighters intervened.
Rescued, ” the dog I’m fine”, we say on the side of the police. The owner not being present at the time of the events, the animal is now at the SACPA animal center in Beauvais in order to identify it, but also to rehydrate it or treat it if necessary.
