After keeping the kitten warm and stabilizing her blood sugar, she jumped back, though it was affected and walking. At one point, even the medical team was uncertain about her chances, but Kristen never stopped fighting for her.

“I wasn’t ready to stop trying yet and I knew she was still trying to fight. I started getting pipe feeding on her so that LHE could get hydration and food in her stomach, subcutaneous fluids- slowly started eating wet food again. ”

As the kitten was strong enough to eat on his own, Christian could breathe a sigh of relief. “When she was back to her sweet, silly self, I knew she would be okay and we made the right decision to keep fighting for her.”

At almost two months old, the kitten, Joon, weighed only 14 ounces – little little for her age, but filled with spirit and determination.

When Joon steadily gained weight and strength, her seal point markings began to emerge around her nose, ears, paws and tail. Meanwhile, Sam and her team returned to spay and help Mama Cat and other community treasures like her.

When Joon was ready to meet other cat residents, she was very happy and jumped surrounded with renewed energy.
