A cat threw himself away in a shelter but began to shine when he became a home and saw her kitten thrive.

For a few weeks, this parent tax and her kitten remained in a shelter, waiting for their cold to clean up.
The house environment was overwhelming to the mother, who spent most of her time hugging in a corner. Things began to change when Heidi Shoemaker, the founder of Foster Kitten Mama, offered to take them in and give them a chance in a better life.
When they were good enough to travel, her mother, Colette, and her six little shelter left.

She remained quietly in the carrier with cautious eyes as she and her multicolored kittens were transported. She was just skin and bones, and some of her kittens were also critical underweight.
When he arrived at Foster Home, Colette gently went into her new space. With her kittens darting around her, she searched for a corner to hide and decompress.

As he adapted to her new surroundings, tossed in the liter box despite having more comfortable beds available. Some of her kittens joined her while others were doing at home, playing with toys and climbing cat posts.
“The babies have been in a small room in the crisis center for most of their lives. They are very happy to have tos and quickly find out what to do with them,” Heidi shared.

“They are already coming out of their shells. They sleep in a pile in a corner, a learned behavior to stay in safety. I can meet one, they are completely comfortable and added and have no problem falling asleep everywhere. “
“Mama is very scared and is mostly hiding in the liter box, but has come out to lie down in the corner.”

Heidi Brugt some soft treats to the mother who could not resist the tempting smell despite her fears. She gently approached Heidi and took a few licks from the tube. “It made my heart happy.”
The fear in her eyes immediately melted away with the peace offering from her foster mother. She even came back in seconds.

Slowly, Colette began to let her protect herself with the help of her favorite goodies. “She makes small improvements every day. It really just takes to sit with her calmly, give her goodies and try to get a little closer every day.”
Heidi delivered the family at seven with daily “Room Service” who had a clean playpen with fresh blankets and lithes and carefully monitored their weight and growth.

“These babies are five weeks old and should be good over a pound. The little gray tabby is only eight ounces. We do everything we can to make sure we get the little weight up and on a healthy track.”
The solid gray kitten, Yukon, was the second smallest of liters.

Colette has regained strength, daughter out beautifully and become more confidential sincere step out of the carrier. Heidi continues to deliver supportive care and help the two small kittens improve their APBs and thrive.
The size different between the two smallest kitten and the others are striking.

Colette has withdrawn her “plane ears” and even allows her fetal mother to pet her for a few seconds. “I am grateful that she has had stability, warmth, calm and all the food she wants. She wants to be a wonderful cat when Fixly knows she’s safe forever.”
Yukon loves to fall asleep with his face pressed against his mother, even when she stands.

In less than two weeks leaving shelter, Colette is well on its way to a bright future, making progress every day. Her kittens are full of energy and playful antics and make their place for a bouncing castle.
