Chat’Voir Day returns for a 3rd edition, at the Caen congress center (Calvados). Sunday 23 June 2024, we promise you an “enriching, dynamic and caring” meetingbut without a cat. Explanations.
Creatures largely misunderstood
Norman initiative, the Cat’See day is a charity event, organized by the association of the same name. Its purpose is to share existing knowledge about chat“at the same time as the desire to bring together all the actors involved in this field”.
The idea here is to highlight the cat’s basic needs, which are today by far the most popular pet in France!
Their number exceeds 15 million, for 7.5 million dogs. But despite their ever-increasing presence, cats are still perceived as mysterious and misunderstood creatures.
“Animal welfare is our priority”
The event intends to give a spotlight on those who invest every day for these adorable little balls of fur so they can talk about their needs and their difficulties. “It is essential to show that it is not just our couch potatoes and that The reality is still very dark for stray or abandoned animals », Explain the organizers.
If associations come to present pictures of their protégés to adopt or sponsor, “no animal will be on site, neither for exhibition nor for sale”.
We are aware that the presence of cats at our event would give us more visibility. However, we believe that animal welfare must be prioritized.
Conferences and workshops
On the other hand, Norman professionals covering a wide range of activities will be present: creators, caregivers, service providersetc. Without forgetting the ethologist Brunilde Ract-Madoux, and the animal rights lawyer, Aloïse Quesne.
