A new decree should be issued and the statutory provisions regarding the compensation rules of the unemployment insurance system should be amended. “The State Council requested an extension to October 30 due to political instability,” the CGT says.

Another month. The draft decree on the maintenance of the compensation system for the unemployed after July 31 has developed. Payment of return to work may be interrupted
If this decree does not appear, payment of supplements aid to return to work (ARE) for unemployed people receiving compensation can be interrupted, as well “recovery of related contributions”, according to a presentation sheet sent to union and employer representatives. The reform of unemployment insurance, strongly criticized of the National Rally and the New Popular Front, had to reduce from 1 December the maximum duration of the compensation of 18 to 15 months for persons under 57 years of age. It would also have been necessary have worked eight months out of the last 20 to be compensated compared to six months in the last 24 months currently.
