After months of uncertainty and waiting, following the terrible accident that occurred last December in the port of Sanary, the restaurant Le Galion has finally reopened! Alongside the Glacier du Port which reappeared on the 1er last July, a new light structure was installed, covered with an elegant openwork pine wall with golden reflections by the setting sun of this beautiful summer evening.
The large brand new terrace facing the port was literally stormed by almost 130 guests who came to celebrate the event. Alain, manager of the establishment, even had to refuse people!
Rediscovered flavors
The menu of this veritable Sanaryian institution is still tighter, but will quickly be expanded to include the classics of all time, to the delight of regulars and summer visitors alike. Mussels and fries specialties once again rub shoulders with delicious savory galettes and sweet crepes, but also other dishes such as octopus stew or refreshing salads, for a reasonable budget.
This reopening is the result of a strong will from the entire restaurant team, but also from the municipality, which has given it all its support. Everyone has put a lot of energy into moving forward and keeping the story going. To hear the voices of the guests resonate again among the clanking of the cutlery, we can only agree with them and wish good luck to the new Galion back at the quay!
Le Galion, 1 place de la Liberté on the port of Sanary, open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
