For eight long years, a resident of Marseille thought she had lost her cat. The animal was found for his greatest happiness.
An end of the year miracle… A resident of Marseille was able to find his lost cat for eight years. As our colleagues from France Bleu tell it, at that time Valérie had covered the walls of her neighborhood with pictures of her pet, hoping to find it. “I had put it on all the waste containers in the neighborhood, on all the poles, in the shops. I even created a Facebook page”, she confided.
It is therefore after eight long years that a vet calls the young woman. “The people who had her hadn’t taken her to a vet in eight and a half years,” she explains. The vet could see that the cat had been declared stolen or lost by scanning its microchip. After all these years, the reunion was not without emotion. And the animal even recognized Valérie and her daughter: “She wasn’t afraid, she’s happy”.
All’s well that ends well, although Valérie and her daughter claim to be “angry at the people who took her in”. Yes, “there is a national file for pets called I-cad: cats and dogs are chipped, you just had to go to a vet to get it scanned, or to the SPA”.
