A family opened their home to two lonely kittens. They clashed with the house cats and became double trouble.

Pip, the kitten, was left behind when a community cat moved her kittens before a storm.
A Good Samaritan tried to reunite him with his mother, but she would not take him back. While the mother and the other kittens were cared for, Pip was brought to Jenny, a foster volunteer with Tails High, to give him the best chance to thrive.
At one week old, Pip was just starting to open his eyes. With a voracious appetite, he often finished each feeding with an adorable milk mustache.

“Pip continues to have a good appetite and takes the bottle well. He loves to make biscuits after he eats. He purrs more than most kittens I’ve fostered at this age. He’s just a big ole love bug, Jenny said.
Soon he got a round belly and a big voice, which he used freely at meals.

With good food and lots of TLC, Pip thrived and his energy levels increased. He spent his waking hours kneading blankets, being the loudest little spinning machine and charming everyone he met.
After a hearty meal, he drifted into a food coma and felt perfectly satisfied.
Jenny
“He’s always looking for mom or another kitten to snuggle with. I cuddle him as much as possible, but can’t quite match having cat companionship.”
When he was three weeks old, Pip joined the one-pound club, insisting he needed a dog bed to match his power.

Around that time, Jenny was informed of another kitten that had also been left behind. “A family found her and reached out to nursing staff in the area for help.”
They immediately thought of Pip, and Tails High didn’t hesitate to bring her into their care.

“What still amazes me after a decade of being involved is how there is this wonderful network of TNR people, foster families, transporters and rescue crews working together to save lives.”
Although Pip was about a week younger than the fluffy newcomer, Layla, he was the fiercer. They became fast friends, playing and snuggling together like old friends.

After a week together, the two began to heat up, Layla being the most adventurous. Pip became bolder and tried new things by seeing her playmate and following her.
“She’s the braver of the two, always on the move. I’ll have to keep a close eye on her.”

The kittens spotted a file holder by the printer and decided it was the perfect bed despite having many cozy napping options. Layla slipped first, with Pip soon piled on top of her.
“I give these kittens lots of soft, comfortable places to relax. And that’s what they choose.”
Jenny
They were happy to meet the resident cats and another foster kitten and joined their cozy party on the sofa. “Pip and Layla have been so good to Cheesy (the ginger carer).”
They welcomed her with open arms and made sure she was included in every nap.

Layla and Pip are having the time of their lives in foster care, surrounded by great company. True to form, Pip is as talkative as ever, filling the room with his endearing raspy meow.
