The food and nutrition interview with Elodie Gossuin
What is your favorite breakfast?
“After several years of morning radio, I think I’ve gotten into a strange rhythm… I start with a minimum of five coffees, just to be wide awake! It’s only 2-3 hours after getting up that I start to be able to swallow something (fruit, boiled eggs, granola, pancakes and peanut butter!)”
And the lunch you eat most often?
“Egg casserole! I have little ramekins and you combine whatever you want, turkey, chorizo, vegetables, cream whatever you have in the fridge… and we have chickens at home, their eggs are our gourmet treasures!”
What are the 5 foods you always find in your fridge?
“3 boxes of deluxe potato sauce from McDonald’s + 2 bags of soy sauce from the latest Japanese (laughs)”

What dish do you make most for your children?
“I’m totally anti-waste and I always manage to make a new dish with leftovers! My favorite dish, great and quick: a good fried chicken with garlic, onions, peppers and vegetables on hand. I sprinkle it with a broth and I put the chicken that I have oiled and brushed with honey in the oven for 1 1/2 hours at 180°C guaranteed!
What is important to you about food and what do you want to pass on to your children?
“To be aware of the value of the products and the work of the farmers. We live close to farms where we directly buy potatoes, asparagus, strawberries, yogurt, cheese… It’s a chance to realize the way to it, we have something on our plate!’
What is your guilty pleasure?
“A piece of milk chocolate with caramelized almonds (well 1 piece is mission impossible… 1/2 bar really!)”
And your Madeleine from Proust?
“My Madeleine de Proust is the smell of maroille melting in the oven on toast… It was our comforting meal to love on Sunday night!”
