It is now a well-established tradition when the month of September arrives in the Pink City. If we must not forget school bags, pens and creative spirit, the start of the new school year is also synonymous with good food, white and purple tablecloths and convivial meals!
Food truck evenings
This is the whole meaning of the Toulouse à Table! festival, which celebrates its 9th anniversary in 2022. The festivities will begin on Friday September 2, 2022 on the side of The Union (Haute-Garonne)northeast of Toulouse, with an evening under the sign of gourmet food trucks, tastings (of wine, in particular) and music.
The meeting is given at the Saint-Caprais hall, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. “At the beginning, when we started, Toulouse à Table! was a three-day event, now it’s all year round. We have extended our scope to neighboring towns, such as L’Union”, explains Guy Pressenda, the founder of the event.
Other cities are involved in this type of operation with similar evenings organized in Balma (Friday, September 16), at Saint Orens (Saturday September 17), but also in the heart of Toulouse, allées François-Verdier (Thursday September 15).
Gourmet village and nightlife
The highlights of Toulouse à Table! will take place from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 10 September 2022. The tradition of the Gourmet Village, square de Gaulle, will once again be perpetuated. Come and meet the producers and those who make the richness of our plates in Occitania!
Toulouse residents are now used to late-night openings (the next one will be held on Thursday September 8 at the Carmes market). The festival declines this model with three appointments, on September 7, 8 and 9.
The first will be centered around Occitan pintxos sublimated, with the presence of the sponsor of the 2022 edition, Jean-Luc Beauhaire, elected Best Worker of France Baker in 2019. On Thursday 8, the evening will be entirely focused on foie gras while Friday 9, it will be oysters and sausage !
One banquet, three cassoulets
Each year, the Place du Capitole banquet always offers a good moment of conviviality and beautiful shots to post on social networks!
The big table is back on Saturday September 10 with three different cassoulets to taste: Toulouse cassoulet, seafood cassoulet or vegetarian cassoulet. And that’s not all since you can leave with your terracotta casserole dish. 2500 people are expected. In parallel, you can order your cassoulet dish to take away in click and collect modefrom 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
An empty kitchen
And like any self-respecting Sunday, you can hunt around with a kitchen sale organized in Square de Gaulle, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s time to sort through your utensils and linens… It’s Sunday, September 11th.
