Justice professionals all agree: despite an increasing budget, the means are still not up to the situation. After magistrates and clerks on November 23, lawyers make public on franceinfo a forum to denounce “a glaring lack of means and a managerial conception of this public service.” They express themselves here freely.
By an appeal published in The world on November 23, more than 3,000 magistrates and a hundred court clerks expressed their exhaustion and the misuse of our justice system due in particular to a glaring lack of resources and a managerial concept of this public service.
We, lawyers, vainly but for a long time denounce the state of justice. We still regret it. This misguided conception of justice also excludes litigants and their counsel. Thus, not only does justice no longer have the means to be rendered with dignity, but it also becomes inaccessible.
The organization of the estates general of justice is only a decoy intended to feign the establishment of ersatz solutions to the problems denounced by all the judicial actors. Justice is not repaired, it is sacrificed. Only widespread awareness and a collective interprofessional reaction will save it.
We, lawyers, support magistrates and clerks in all requests aimed at restoring justice to its dignity.
