Guide puppy for visually impaired people #looking for a home

During the holiday period, the Entrevues guide dog school launches its annual campaign to appeal to future host families living less than 50 kilometers from Liège. If the acceptance process goes well, an 8-week-old puppy can be placed with candidate homes for 10-16 months.

Throughout this year of commitment, the families are accompanied by the educators of the association in order to teach the puppy the correct bases of its future social role and education sessions are organized every Wednesday. It should be noted that when the dog enters training, it resides at the association from Monday to Friday but can return, as in the boarding school mode, with the family each weekend. Finally, it will then be put into service with the visually impaired person around the age of 2 years. Throughout the duration of the project, the food and health costs of the puppy are entirely borne by the ASBL.
