In Indianapolis, USA, a 23-year-old young man, furious at not receiving his mail, shot a letter carrier dead. It then turned out that the letters were no longer being delivered because of the murderer’s dog.
An excess of rage that turns to drama. In the United States, in the city of Indianapolis, Tony Cushingberry, a 23-year-old young man is accused of murder. The facts took place on April 27, 2020. On that day, the American, furious at not receiving his mail, made a mad gesture.
When a letter carrier arrived near his home, he approached her. The latter then backed up to a neighbour’s porch, and feeling threatened, unsheathed his defensive spray, before using it against Tony Cushingberry. The man then pulled out a gun and shot the young woman, reports NBC. The letter carrier, Angela Summers, was 45 years old.
The man assures that he did not intend to kill the postwoman
It later turned out that murderer’s mail was no longer delivered since two weeks. In fact, postal employees encountered problems with her very aggressive little dog. Facing the police, the murderer admitted the facts, but he declared that he had no intention of killing the letter carrier but only to scare her. “Angela Summers was a dedicated public servant simply doing her job when she was senselessly murdered.”, underlined for his part the prosecutor Zachary A. Myers. Tony Cushingberry has pleaded guilty in court on Wednesday, July 6. The date of his sentencing is not yet known.
