he pays 45 euros for two coffees, “I have the impression that…”

In August, Ricky went to the Farmer’s Market in Plymouth for a coffee. He found himself at a French restaurant, the Bistrot Pierre, and was supposed to pay a little more than 3 euros for his passage there. But the man grabbed the wrong payment terminal and ended up paying a table of 45 euros.

When the incident happened, the staff did not show understanding, quite the contrary. “You could have looked at the terminal screen before paying,” the waitress told him, which he deplored to our colleagues at Plymouth Live: “I found that quite rude. She could have apologized for the mistake, but instead she blamed me for the incident. »

The staff then advised that they would be contacted to arrange the refund, but five days later had still not heard from the establishment. When he called the restaurant, they asked him to be patient for another week, but again the customer heard nothing.

“I’m tossed from person to person and no one seems able to make a simple refund. They are quick when it comes to debiting money, but not when it comes to returning it. I feel like I’ll never get my money back,” laments Ricky, who announced that he would never return to this restaurant.

A spokesperson for the establishment said that a transfer of 45 euros had been made, but at the time of this writing, Ricky had still not received anything. “We look forward to welcoming Ricky and his friends back to Bistrot Pierre,” said a restaurant spokesperson. Not sure if this happens…
