Franfinance recently conducted a “Housing and energy renovation” barometer with Viavoice.
A “Housing and Energy Renovation” barometer was recently carried out by Franfinance with Viavoice to shed light on the behavior of French owners regarding renovation work, the energy performance of their homes and their financing.
In light of this barometer, the French are reluctant to buy a property that requires major work on their main residence. However, they are more favorable to it in connection with a rental investment. In this case, 3 out of 5 would be clear.
For their homes, a majority of owners consider renovation work primarily to improve comfort and reduce energy bills. Although energy performance is important, half of the owners of their main residence nevertheless declare that they do not know their home’s energy performance diagnosis (EPD).
