Industrial engineer / insurance expert – Clermont Ferrand M/F

If you are looking for a new challenge, this offer is made for you: the Stelliant group is looking for an expert engineer for its Stelliant Expertise unit in Clermont Ferrand.

A complete education of 6 months to 1 year is planned upon joining the profession. You will be supervised and supported by a senior expert engineer.

Alongside companies or local communities whose liability is sought, you intervene at the request of insurance companies to determine the nature of the damage, the technical responsibilities of the various players and the guarantees that can be mobilized.

Missions:

Depending on the type of missions, you must:

• Attend meetings with technical expertise remotely or on-site
• Identify technical problems and characterize them
• Determine the causes, circumstances and facts generating the loss
• Determine the liability involved in the disorders observed
• Assess the amount of damage or injury
• Participate in legal expert meetings with consulting lawyers
• Write expert reports

The files that follow lead you to discuss with the company’s claims adjusters, brokers or agents, company executives, injured third parties, other opposing experts, attorneys, and in some cases with legal experts.

Travel is expected in Auvergne-Rhône Alpes and/or occasionally nationally.

Postgraduate Diploma (School of Engineering)
Expertise:
Appreciation for the technical field (chemistry, materials, electricity, construction and mechanics)

Or industrial technical experience (maintenance, design, BE, production support, control office, certification and testing)

And good writing skills
Know how:
