A kitten showed up in a house with other cats, and soon discovered a new life he never knew existed.

A resident saw a kitten wander onto his terrace in search of food. Soon after, two more kittens appeared and joined the first one for a meal.
There was a colony of stray cats near her home, and the young often did not survive long due to the elements and other animals. “The lady managed to catch one of the kittens that came to her terrace for food,” Chatons told Orphelins Montreal.
Fearing the other kittens, she felt relieved when they returned to her patio. Without hesitation, she stepped in to bring them to safety.

While rescuing the three kittens, the resident also discovered a fourth from another litter. “She had never seen this kitten before, but the kitten landed in the humane trap because she was so hungry.”
All four kittens were taken to the rescue for immediate treatment, where a new life in a foster home awaited them.

Among them was a timid orange tabby named Chip who needed a lot of TLC. “They were overwhelmed and scared. Even though they were small, they tried to act tough and even attacked us.”
After receiving treatment for stomach problems, they began to feel better and slowly calmed down in the inner life. “They were very thin under their soft coats and quite hungry.”

With their hearty appetites they were quickly filled up and gained strength. While the other kittens were warming up to human touch, Chip needed extra help building confidence. They paired him with playful, sociable cats who showed him the ropes.
“Chip loves other cats and likes to imitate what they do.”

For a while he hid in his cart or a corner of his room, too afraid to be around people, but when he saw other cats interacting with people, he became more comfortable and began to trust them.
“He didn’t know people before he came to us, but he made progress every day, thanks to the other cats in the house.”

“Chip is starting to show his cute side. He’s found his groove and loves it when we spend quality time with him.”
He’s shy at first, but once he lets his guard down, he becomes a huggable bug. As his confidence grows, so does his playful side. He loves to chase fuzzy toys, feather pillows and his feline friends. He climbs anything he can get his paws on.

He follows the older cats and joins in their playful antics. “If there is food left out, he will try to steal it with his partner in crime (another cat). He follows other cats around the house, mimics their actions and tries to be like them.”
“That’s how he ended up sleeping on our lapses for the first time, simply by following the tracks of the other cats.”

Chip has blossomed into a happy, cuddly young cat who enjoys belly rubs and even rolls onto his back for more. “Once he trusts you, he’ll snuggle up to you and purr like a tractor, show his belly and wave his paws in the air.”
He has become happy with his foster family and the cozy new life he never knew existed.

“He loves to relax on soft blankets and fall asleep on the cat tree by the window. He is a lively little kitten who thrives on attention from both cats and people. Although he still gets into sudden movements, he is making progress every day. “
“When he feels comfortable with you, he will cling to you like a little shadow, constantly looking for hugs.”
