A kitten set foot in a house, immediately after the other cats, determined to be part of their crew.

A compassionate animal rescuer, Genevieve was helping local strays when she stumbled upon a cat and her litter of five. One of the kittens, Riley, stood out with her long ear tips.
Determined to save them all, she secured the mother, carefully scooped up the kittens and brought them home. With a roof over their heads, they began to thrive.
Once the kittens were weaned, the mother was spayed and found a safe place where she would be loved and cared for. Four of the kittens were adopted in pairs, leaving Riley still longing for a home.

Genevieve reached out to her local animal rescue, Chatons Orphelins Montreal, seeking help for the kitten. Riley needed medical attention and a chance to find a loving home, ideally with a friend.
“She had a runny nose and sniffles, but after starting medication, she recovered quickly,” Chatons told Orphelins Montreal.

She was eager for a constant companion. Before she recovered, they gave her a small plush toy to keep her company so she wouldn’t feel lonely. She snuggled with it and never let it out of her sight.
When Riley was healthy enough to socialize, she immediately ran to the other cats and wanted to make friends with them all.

Riley noticed the resident senior cat lying on the couch, jumped up, snuggled up next to her, kicked up a storm, and quickly melted into her embrace.
“She quickly showed her cute and mischievous side. She is a kitten’s girlfriend.”

When Riley discovered other foster kitties in the house, she was thrilled. She rushed to them and followed them everywhere. If they jumped on the couch, she was right on their tail.
The kittens quickly took to the friendly newcomer and before long they were playing together as if Riley had always been part of their crew.

The cute kitten with its long ear tips is constantly looking for fun. “She loves being with other cats and people. When she’s cuddled, she turns into a purring machine, always craving attention and staying close to us.”
She likes to be where the action is, curious about what everyone is up to. “In the evening she comes to sleep near us and snuggles with the other kittens.”

Whenever she sees a cat sunbathing by the window, she joins them and makes sure they have company and a bit of her affection.
“She comes running the moment we wave the feather duster. She loves heights and naps in the sun by the window, especially with a friend. With her adorable face and white ear tips, she is the complete package.”

Riley does wonderfully with the rowdy kittens. They have fun running around the house, and afterwards she curls up with the older cats, sleeps next to them, and soaks up the affection.
“She’s still very much a baby at heart.”

Riley thrives in foster homes and basks in all the love from her human and feline friends.
She arrived with her favorite stuffed toy and now, at five months old, she has made many new friends. Yet her love of plushies remains as strong as ever.
