Kitten went from being alone in the world to feeling at home with other cats, now living the best life

A kitten went from being alone in the world to feeling at home with other cats and is now living the best life.

Zeke, the kitten, had been alone for a long time, fending for himself until he was finally rescued and brought to the Community Cat Club.

At six months old, he was shy and lost, but didn’t have a bad bone in his body. “His little pitiful face could probably tell a sad story if he could talk,” said Michelle, a care volunteer at the Community Cat Club.

She opened her home to the deserving kitten and was determined to help him learn to trust.

Shortly after arriving in foster care, Zeke sought refuge in a small cat house to decompress. Realizing that the noise was gone and food was readily available, he slowly began to warm to home life.

He was very scared, but when Michelle gently caressed him, he did not pull away and gradually accepted her affection.

“He’s super sweet and just wants to be comforted. He’s the kind of cat that wants to be baptized and soothed.”

While helping Zeke build confidence around people, Michelle noticed that he was cuddly and rolled when petted. Although he tried to hide, he enjoyed the attention when she got close.

Hoping that a confident cat would help Zeke come out of his shell, Michelle decided to bring in her resident cats, Poe and Hux. Poe visited the nursing room a few times and Zeke seemed very interested.

Despite his fear of humans, Zeke ventured out of his hiding place to follow Poe. Slowly but surely, Poe’s confidence rubbed off on him.

Encouraged by the resident cats, Zeke took his first steps into the dining room and began to discover what a home looked like.

Seeing the interaction between the house cats and their humans, he plucked up the courage to seek affection from Michelle. “He is a beautiful, sweet kitten who needs a little patience to get used to new environments.”

“He likes to sit like a king and squint with satisfaction. He likes to play hard to get, but is easy to please by shaking some treats.”

“He likes to be picked up and belly rubbed if it’s done the way he ‘likes it’.” He’s very sweet, but also a bit independent if it hits his mood.”

Hux, the resident ginger, showed Zeke the ropes and led him to the dining table where they could survey the house like royalty. Zeke eagerly followed, curious about his next adventure.

“Zeke is a very great play or cuddle buddy for another cat, very cat friendly.”

The house cats boosted his confidence and showed him that humans are not that scary. They played and ate together. Hux taught Zeke some important wrestling moves while Poe assured him that he was loved.

“Even though he was a little shy, we couldn’t understand why he kept getting passed over at adoption events,” the rescuer said.

“He’s been waiting patiently in his foster home for a family to choose him. Finally, after three months of waiting, it’s Zeke’s turn.”

A lovely couple fell head over heels for the sweet gentle soul. Zeke was adopted and went to his new home where his new cat brother was waiting for him.
