Every day, this new address will offer bistro and gastronomic menus, in the heart of the village. Behind the stoves, we find the name of a well-known chef from Albret, Arnaud Chevalier. The cook, at the head of the Auberge du goujon qui quiver, in Buzet, on the edge of the canal, changes consoles and migrates a few kilometers. Beyond his saucepans, his whole team follows him in this new culinary adventure. “We are very proud to work with this experienced team”, explains Charles d’Huyvetter, manager of the premises. On the menu, local, seasonal products. “We only work with fresh products”, says Arnaud Chevalier. So much for the gastro part, offered from Thursday noon until Sunday evening.

For the bistro side, another chef will take over the kitchens at the start of each week. “We also offer a brunch on Sunday noon, and many activities throughout the summer. »

60 outdoor seats

Inside, in a brand new room, 45 people will be able to sit around a table. The outdoor park allows for its part, under umbrellas, to accommodate 60 people.

This restaurant is part of the Portail gascon project initiated by Charles d’Huyvetter, his daughter Louise d’Huyvetter and Claudio Canaparo, city councilor and professor of philosophy of Argentine origin. It has been several months since this gigantic building of 1,800 m² which was, from 1827, a convent, then an orphanage and, finally, an Ehpad until 2016, came back to life.
