The fate of Maya, a 9-month-old Samoyed dog, attacked by three American bullies on Tuesday August 2, 2022, is moving the web. His mistress gives his news.
“It’s a walk where I go very often, begins Angèle Buisson. Tuesday evening, I went there with Maya, a neighbor and her puppy. » Mistresses and dogs stroll along the Promenade des Moulins à papier on the banks of the Cailly, in Notre-Dame-de-Bondeville. The two puppies run in front of their mistresses to a small bridge: “Normally, when they arrive at the bridge, we call them back and they come back to us. But, that evening, Maya did not return. Immediately afterwards I heard screams. » Angèle Buisson rushes: “And I saw three bullies, on my dog. They were loose and unmuzzled. The owners were trying to get them back but they were pulling on their necks and slapping them on the face which made them more excited.”
Heavy consequences
Eventually Maya manages to free herself. Her dog bleeding in her arms, the young woman goes the opposite way. “We called the police and took Maya to the vet. He told us that our little beast had been very lucky”. Maya escapes with an injury to her ear, eyelid, a torn lip and several large holes in her skin. Under antibiotics, she is the subject of constant care from her masters. Today Maya is slowly recovering from her injuries but will have serious after-effects. Besides his scars: “She is very afraid of other dogs now”.
His owners are actively looking for the owners of the three attacking dogs: “The municipal police are very supportive. » They tried to lodge a complaint with the national police but “as my dog is not dead, that I was not bitten, and that the owners did not launch the attack, I cannot lodge a complaint according to the police”. Maya’s story has made the rounds on social networks and her owner has collected many testimonials from walkers and dog owners who have also come across the trio of American bullies.
