MNH, Relyens and MGEN join forces on health insurance for hospital workers

Civil Service Social Protection (PSC) is an essential scheme for Hospital Civil Service (FPH) employees. On the one hand, it contributes to the quality of care and risk management in health and medico-social institutions. On the other hand, it is part of the HR policy which improves the quality of life and working conditions of the hospital employees.

The PSC thus makes it possible to respond to several problems experienced by the hospital, such as the attractiveness of the sector, agent loyalty and job retention.

For all these reasons, MNH, Relyens and MGEN have announced their alliance to support the reform of the PSC in FPH, which should result in collective coverage for civil servants to replace their individual health and welfare contracts.

The three mutual insurance companies specializing in the public service want to promote high-quality social protection that lives up to their values. The partners aim to respond jointly to tenders from hospitals for the protection of their agents.

MNH was launched in 1960 by hospital workers who collectively wanted to cover their health protection needs. The management of this mutual is represented by all categories of hospital professions. As part of the hospital culture, MNH is committed to meeting the expectations of employers and representatives of healthcare personnel. This mutual is the hospital’s reference partner thanks to its proximity to their agents and its health and welfare offer adapted to all needs.

For its part, Relyens is the leader in health risk coverage. The mutual fund was created 100 years ago by public hospitals to cover the risks associated with layoffs by their agents. Relyens offers a global approach to risk management (insurance, governance, prevention), unique in France and Europe, to ensure the delivery of missions of public interest.

The first mutual of public service agents and a founding member of the VYV Group, MGEN was founded in 1946 with the aim of establishing bonds of trust with civil servants, especially those from the State Civil Service and the FPH. While the reform of the PSC will reshuffle the cards, MGEN, whose expertise in collective health and welfare coverage is recognized, plays a major role in the alliance of mutuals dedicated to all public functions.

“This strategic alliance allows us to join the forces of three mutual actors committed to serving the social protection of public sector agents, based on our shared values. Driven by a collective intention to avoid an exclusively commercial or short-term approach to the treatment of PSC, we share the desire to adapt to the proposed approach in the interest of the hospital staff in the long term, as we have always known to do it, throughout our shared history”, affirms the president of MNH Benoît Fraslin.
