Two abandoned kittens in a bucket of glasses Montarnaud, 8 km west of Montpellier, were saved thanks to a chain of solidarity. A beautiful story that dates back to Wednesday. The Sdis of Hérault evokes it this Saturday on social networks, with a photo in support.
It’s a lady who came to throw glass bottles into a dumpster intended for this purpose on Nelson Mandela Avenue. She took a break while taking her sick cat to a nearby veterinarian. And these are meows coming from inside the dumpster collection of glasses that caught his eye. She alerted the local police de Montarnaud, who came to the spot.
Officers called the fire department Sdis 34 who dispatched a guard team from the Montpellier-Mosson/Paillade barracks, equipped with the appropriate equipment to take the little cats out. A black male and a tabby female in a state of weakness were able to regain their freedom and be entrusted to the village veterinarian.
A voluntary abandonment
It appears that they had been in this dumpster of glasses for just a few hours and, according to the municipal police and the fire department, they were unable to climb on their own. A voluntary gesture of abandonment is therefore privileged. The City of Montarnaud reports that the two kittens aged about two months can be adopted by calling 04 67 55 45 00, before being handed over to the SPA.
