Petit Bouillon Versailles, the new affordable bouillon just a stone’s throw from the Palace of Versailles is revealed

A new broth (the first in town!) has just opened its doors a stone’s throw from the Palace of Versailles: Le Petit Bouillon Versailles! We leave to discover what we reveal to you, what awaits you in decoration and on the menu.

Here’s some good news to celebrate restaurant in Versailles without breaking your PEL: the opening of a real broth, the first in the city, close The Palace of Versailles. So go to Petit Bouillon Versailles, that’s its small name, to taste real French cuisine at a very low price!

With its logo reminiscent of Petit Bouillon Vavin (and with good reason, it is its big brother), Petit Bouillon Versailles reveals a decoration reminiscent of brasseries of yesteryear. The red leather banquette, crystal chandeliers, large mirrors and bistro tables are combined with a wall shelf and copper pots for decoration.

The restaurant, located in a back alley just to the right of the entrance to the Palace of Versailles, offers a nice views on the most royal of castles in Ile-de-Francewhich is not without displeasing the gourmands, who thus have the opportunity to please their taste buds and their pupils.

Open from noon to midnight without interruptioninside or inside terracePetit Bouillon Versailles reveals, à la carte, the greatest French classics at affordable prices : egg mayonnaise, chicken bites with truffle and mushroom sauce, the indispensable beef bourguignon… And for desserts, sweet tooths can enjoy tarte tatin, baba with rum or bourdaloue tart with pears.

In terms of prices, starters start at €2.20, dishes at €8.90 and desserts at €2.70! This is the good plan for lunch in starter + main course + dessert for under €20. However, the restaurant does not compromise on quality, with the most local sourcing possible! Just like broth generally offering a popular and more accessible cuisine, don’t expect beautiful well-dressed plates. At Petit Bouillon Versailles, we are basically in the right place homemadefrom appetizer to dessert.

On our side, we let ourselves be tempted by the famous snails with parsley butter, terrine by the chef “homemade” and herring on hot potatoes in oil. It’s simple and well done, we’re fine.

Then move on to the dishes. For us it will be essential Mashed sausage with a knife for €9.60 and The veal stew old fashioned with mushrooms and basmati rice for €12.50. The mash, which still has chunks of potato, is well done, the sausage has real flavor and we love its old fashioned mustard sauce. On the Blanquette side, the veal is well cooked, we are well within tradition.

With desserts around €3 to €4, of course we can’t skip it. We choose the excellent Tarte Tatin with melting apples, slightly tart and Brioche-style french toastgenerously covered with custard and caramel.

At Petit Bouillon Versailles you won’t find a children’s menu, but the selection is wide and so affordable that your children can find just what they are looking for. Shepherd’s pie, lasagne or mashed sausage with profiteroles and here you are with a happy family.

Gourmet, traditional dishes French cheap, it really is good plan, both for residents of Versailles and tourists visiting the Palace of Versailles who want to taste good local cuisine without straying too far from the monument. And everything else low prices !
