This Saturday, the Planch’Alizé restaurant celebrates its 40th anniversary. More than 1,700 people are expected for the event. A party that does not necessarily delight. In a statement, the SOS DPM 97.4, calls for the banning of this event.
The press release:
We hear that 1700 guests are expected on the beach next Saturday August 13, 2020, for the celebration of the 40 years of existence of the Planch’ Alizé hut in Saline-les-Bains.
As you know, and as the mayor of Saint-Paul, Mr. Emmanuel Séraphin, himself acknowledged in the article in the newspaper Le Quotidien de La Réunion, dated August 09, 2022, this establishment is outlawed since that he has no Temporary Occupation Authorization (AOT), to be precise, since April 1, 2018.
Yesterday, August 10, 2022, we sent an email to Mr. Séraphin, urging him to ban this demonstration (Copy attached).
The offices of the Minister for Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, of the Minister for Overseas Territories, of the Prefect of Reunion and of the Deputy Prefect of Saint-Paul, were alerted to this subject, by telephone and by e-mail.
We have asked the Madam President of the region, the President of the departmental council and the 13 parliamentarians from Reunion, to intervene in this affair, with the mayor of Saint-Paul and with the authority of the State, and have offered them a meeting next Saturday morning, at a time of their convenience, in the public garden behind Planch’ Alizé.
