Cheese is a food particularly appreciated by the French. However, sales may decline due to a new product recall. This is in particular a cheese sold by the slice in the traditional dairy section of Leclerc Saint-Brévin-les-Pins. According to the sources, the product in question is contaminated with listeria monocytogene, the causative agent of listeriosis.

The campaign was notably launched following the publication of the official government website, Rappel Conso. According to the latter, the recalled product contains traces of listeria monocytogenes.
The dairy product in question is Saint-Nectaire farmer’s milk cheese, present in the traditional dairy department of the store. More specifically, it is lot 163IINI2524/06 which was marketed from August 09, 2022.

If you are affected by the product recall, make sure you no longer consume the product and bring it back to the point of sale. You can also call consumer service on 0240391740. In both cases, you will be reimbursed. Note that the recall campaign ends on October 16, 2022. Therefore, remember to return the product before this date to be compensated.
If you have eaten the recalled cheese, you should be aware of certain symptoms. Fever, body aches and headaches are the most obvious. Also, if you have any of these signs, consult your doctor, mentioning the consumption. In addition, more serious forms can occur in pregnant women and the elderly.
