The news spread very quickly this Saturday morning in Saint-Vallier, Montceau-les-Mines and even beyond. Indeed, Michel Lacroix, the emblematic boss of the Chavannes restaurant in Saint-Vallier suffered a heart attack. He was airlifted this morning to the Chalon-sur-Saône hospital where the doctors are taking care of him.
Obviously, the Chavannes without “the Gaul” is like the Canal du Center without water. Nevertheless, Mireille, Michel’s wife, Hervé the cook and Nina the waitress, made the decision to maintain the restaurant’s activities. Workers will be welcome from Monday for lunch. “The bar won’t open until 9 a.m.,” says Nina. The establishment will close around 4 p.m.
“Also immediately, we are suspending the traditional Thursday meeting and its traditional calf’s head, we will see later” explains Hervé.
All that remains is to wish Michel a speedy recovery. “He’s strong, he’ll get through this,” says Nina.
