A cat was found decapitated, disembowelled and with its tail severed in front of its owners’ home in Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry, in Seine-et-Marne.
A macabre discovery. On July 31, in Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry, in Seine-et-Marne, a four-year-old cat was found decapitated, disembowelled and with its tail severed, report our colleagues from La République de Seine-et-Marne.
The little feline was found in front of the owners’ house, on the sidewalk opposite, by a neighbor. The intervention of a veterinarian revealed that the injuries were of human origin, the decapitation having been carried out neatly by a sharp blade.
Two cats found with their throats slit in the same neighborhood
Last October, two cats had already been discovered dead in the same neighborhood. “Two cats from my neighbor were found with their throats cut, with their legs crossed,” explains Ludivine, the owner of the cat found decapitated at the end of July, letting her dismay explode.
A complaint has been filed by the owners of the decapitated animal. The Brigitte Bardot Foundation has announced its intention to file a civil action. The author or authors of this crime incur a prison sentence of up to five years for “acts of cruelty resulting in the death of the animal”. They also risk a fine of 75,000 euros.
