A woman who had just won the lottery jackpot said she had an argument with her boyfriend because he had a demand that was surprising, to say the least. Story.
When you win a large sum of money in the lottery, it is not uncommon to see tension arise in those around you, because wealth always makes people envious.
Between jealous people or those looking to take advantage of this windfall, life is never a long, quiet river when you get rich overnight. The worst are certainly the relatives who are a little too pushy and who, for unclear reasons, believe that they should share in this money. And the demands of these profiteers can sometimes be surprising.
A young nurse who recently experienced this told about her mishap on the social network Reddit.

She wins the lottery, but her boyfriend demands part of her winnings for his… dog
After winning a whopping €45,000 jackpot in the lottery, this 26-year-old internet user – whom we’ll call Carrie – found herself in deep disagreement with her boyfriend. An argument then broke out. Incredible as it may seem, the purpose of this altercation was the crazy request of the young woman’s companion, who demanded that part of the winnings be given to his… dog. Yes, you read that right!
Owner of a golden retriever named Baxter, the boyfriend wanted to recover part of the amount to set up a fund to cover his pet’s needs. Carrie thought it was a joke at first, but she soon realized the truth.
“He insists I promised and Baxter deserves $10,000 in a “dog fund” for vet bills, toys and “whatever he needs.” I told him it was ridiculous that Baxter was a dog and he didn’t have need a special fund.” (Carrie)
The young nurse at first refused to pay this money, and her companion strongly criticized her, saying that she was behaving like a selfish person.

In an attempt to defuse this somewhat grotesque situation, Carrie then agreed to buy several items that would likely improve Baxter’s comfort, but to no avail. His efforts were not enough in the eyes of his companions.
Faced with the latter’s intransigence, Carrie eventually decided to end their relationship, as she explains in this testimony.
