The Breton group Le Duff buys Lecoq Cuisine in the United States – Rennes

New acquisition across the Atlantic for the Rennes group Le Duff and its bread and pastries production subsidiary Bridor. Le Breton announces the acquisition of Lecoq Cuisine, a company founded in 1991 in New York by Norman pastry chef and master baker Eric Lecoq. Sweet and savory croissants, pain au chocolat, danishes, brioches, filled pastries…: the company manufactures more than 150 varieties of products.

Lecoq Cuisine employs 250 people for a turnover of €60 million. It is present mainly in the United States but it also exports to Canada and the Caribbean. The company has a production site in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

With this takeover, Bridor is strengthening its positions in the USA, after the industrial company announced in 2019 that it wanted to invest €200 million in its current production sites in Quebec and Vineland, New Jersey. “I am all the more proud of this acquisition as the international history of the group is intimately linked to America, which is my second country,” said Louis Le Duff, founder of the Breton group, quoted in a press release.
