RESTORATION. The Nambu restaurant has made the decision to close its dining room in order to prioritize take-out orders.
The news was announced Saturday on the restaurant’s Facebook page. “The reality is no longer the same as the one we knew when we started; the lack of manpower is glaring and makes the adventure more difficult for a creative soul like Nam (chef owner), who mainly accomplishes himself by creating new dishes and harmonizing new flavors”, is he writes.
“With the management of a service team and the current difficult context, it was becoming exhausting for Nam to focus on his true passion, cooking. The one who makes it vibrate. The one that makes our dishes the best in town. We have therefore made the difficult decision to close the dining room, to continue to offer the delights of our menu (and other yet unsuspected delights!) in the format of take-out orders.
It is mentioned that the dining room will officially close on August 31. All reservations will be honored by then.
Note that the labor shortage is hitting downtown restaurant owners hard. Several owners have chosen to suspend their activities or reduce their opening hours during the construction holidays, in order to have some respite.
