This Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the official government website Rappel Conso launched a warning to consumers regarding a batch of ice cream sold throughout France. Ice cream from a major retailer that poses a real risk of harm to the consumer. We explain!
Every day, the official government website Rappel Conso publishes a list of new products that are unfit for consumption and must be withdrawn from the market. A way to warn French consumers of the risks they run when faced with the abundance of products on the market today. Whether it’s food, clothing, hygiene, beauty or even accessories for children, childcare or motor vehicles, there are numerous product recalls!
As the holidays begin in France, as far as the health authorities are concerned, they are not yet on the agenda and luckily! These institutions are vigilant to keep away any potential danger that certain products may pose, such as recently with this sandwich withdrawn from sale due to Listeria contamination or even these chickens cooked and smoked in beech wood, whose deadline is consumption forgotten to be applied or finally these cans of Coca-Cola Cherry contaminated with a dangerous chemical. This Tuesday, July 9, 2024, a new reminder was posted online.

Sold nationwide in E.Leclerc stores, this salted caramel from the Trium brand has a minimum durability date set to 31/07/2025 with the following barcode: 3 564 706 701 403. A recall procedure which will last two months since the end is set to 09/ 08/2024.
Why are these ice creams being withdrawn from the market?
The Rappel Conso site aims to protect French consumers from products dangerous to their health, and this ice cream from the brand Trium (Marque Repère) is therefore one of them. It has been pointed out that these pots may contain metallic foreign objects inside, which poses a risk of harm to the consumer or adverse effects after consumption. As a precautionary measure, the recall sheet states that if you have one or more of these jars at home, the product should no longer be consumed and should be returned to the point of sale for a refund.
