Togo-CAN U23: Sparrowhawks ready for South Africa?

Les Éperviers Espoirs play their South African counterparts this Sunday, October 23 at 16.00 at Stade de Kégué. An official delegation visited them on the eve of the meeting in Lomé.

Togo face South Africa in the first leg of the second round of the CAN U23 qualifiers at the Kégué Stadium. This is also the reason why the young Togolese had been in a group since Sunday 16 October in Lomé.

At the moment, everything is going as the members of the technical staff thought. However, the latter will have to put a plan in place without Drakpe Augustin and Karim Dermane, who could not be released by their club. Strikers Kperedja Ouzeroudine (Unisport de Sokodé) and Ataba Komi Emmanuel (As Togo Port) have been called up to make up for their absence.

Coach Traoré Afizou’s players received two players from the decisive match visited by an official delegation. Composed by Bawa Adamou, National Sports Director and Halba Gilbert, Communications Advisor to the Ministry of Sports, it went “to support and encourage the selection” and sent him the motivational message of Doctor Lidi-Bessi Kama, the Minister of Sports and Leisure.

Enough to grab a win this afternoon against young Bafana Bafana? It is to wait and see.
