Toronto U23 women’s tournament: France outclasses the United States, 62-44

It is obviously difficult to assess the value of the team engaged, but it is very rare for a French team to fall against the United States, in young people as well as in adults. Also, we must savor this victory obtained during a friendly match.

The France team was dominant in the first half (34-22), before the Americans attempted a rapprochement. But the last quarter was clearly to the advantage of the French (15-9).

The international A Marine Fauthoux was the locomotive of the Bleuettes with 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Janelle Salaun also made a solid contribution with a double double (11 points and 10 rebounds). We also notice the few points scored by the Americans with a 15/61 in shots. Janika Griffith-Wallace missed 16 of her 17 shots!

The match took place as part of the GLOBL JAM, which takes place in Toronto from July 5-10. France must now face Belgium (6th) and Canada (7th). The semi-finals (9th) and final (10th) will follow.
