Trump expected to sign Order Gutting Department of Education, Sources say

President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order to reduce the Department of Education in the White House on Thursday, said several sources of ABC News.

The president’s order will lead Education Secretary Linda McMahon to take all the necessary steps allowed under the law to dissolve the Ministry of Education, according to the sources.

The move has been in creation months and will help the president fulfill his campaign promise to return to educational power and decisions to the states.

The department took the first steps to break down and shut down last week when it dismissed almost half of its employees, and it shrunk significantly in size through a massive reduction in force, deferred the resignation and retirement outcomes, according to the department.

Trump is also expected to continue the reforms – promised to delete more staff from the agency and the gut.

“I expect it to [be shut down entirely]”Trump said on” full measure “with SHARYL ATTKISSON earlier this month.” You get a few people back just to make sure [the states are] Teaching English – You know you say reading, writing and arithmetic. “

However, congressional approval is required to abolish a federal agency, and McMahon has acknowledged that she would need Congress to execute the president’s vision to close the department she has been exploited to lead. It would take 60 “yes” votes in the Senate to overcome the Filibuster and run the agency that Congress created.

Critics claim that the department is necessary for important financial assistance and reimbursement programs. Educational experts suggested that Skodde of the Department of Education could gut for public education and disproportionately influence students with high needs across the country that depend on statutory authorized programs, such as persons with disabilities of disability and section 1 who provide funding to low -income families.

McMahon said the agency will still manage the statutory programs that students with disadvantaged backgrounds depend on. In an interview about Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle”, McMahon suggested the “good” employees who manage the statutory mandated functions will not be injured in the reduction of staff.

A statement from the department said it will “continue to provide all statutory programs that fall under the purpose of the agency, including formula financing, student loans, pell grants, financing for students with special needs and competitive grants.”

In its more than four decades, Trump and the Department of Education Skeptics believe that the agency has had too much consumption power without results.

After McMahon was sworn in, she emphasized that the abolition of the agency is rooted in giving families the right to choose a “quality education” so that America’s students are not “stuck in failing schools.”
