Bouda, a cat who disappeared in 2013, has just found his family this Sunday, August 14, 2022, in Saint-Georges-d’Oléron, in Charente-Maritime.
The ending was unexpected. Bouda, a 12-year-old little cat, has just been reunited with his family after nine years of separation, on Sunday August 14, 2022. The feline was declared lost nine years ago, in the area of Saint-Trojan-les- Baths, in Charente-Maritime.
The owners of Bouda lost their companion a few weeks after their move in 2013, Marie-Claire Penot, president of the Oléronais refuge, who just took in the cat a few days ago. To tell the truth, the cat would obviously never have left the sector for more than nine years.
A call for witnesses launched a few days ago
Bouda was found a few days earlier very weakened, and would have spent “three days in an open transport box in direct sunlight”, according to the president of the shelter who took in the cat.
The little feline was handed over to its owners, who were particularly happy. “After nine years, we finally find our cat, who is now nine years old,” exclaims one of Bouda’s masters. His state of health nevertheless remains fragile, according to our colleagues from France Bleu.
