With its “hippie chic” image, the food truck was all the rage ten years ago. However, today, it is gradually deserting our streets. Many candidates get into their van, but get out very quickly after a few jolts.

Sn the Brussels tarmac, not a shadow of a colorful food truck. To find them, you have to turn more to festivals and private events. With the desire to show the public a talent for cooking, more and more people want to embark on the adventure. “This allows you to break the metro/work/sleep routine,” explains Fabrice Willot, president of the Food Truck Federation. Still, while quite a few new food trucks are hitting the road, the total number of them is only going down. Why ? Abandonment.
