The weather is nice this week and Finistere is not spared by this new heat wave.
For many dog owners, it’s tempting to take their pet to the beach.
But beware, masters must remain vigilant: in Finistère, few beaches allow access to dogs.
This ban stems from a prefectural decree of January 2018. It concerns the period from 1er June to September 30.
The prefecture invokes the risk of degradation of water quality of bathing by “germs witnesses of faecal contamination. »
Exemptions for certain municipalities
Some municipalities have taken derogatory decrees, to allow walkers to bring their companions to the beaches. Some of them require the wearing of a leash or specific hours.
According to the magazine 30 million friendshere are the beaches of Finistère where you can walk with your dog in 2022.
The writing of Quimper side took care to confirm this list by calling the town halls of the municipalities concerned:
- Cleder in the creek of Théven-Braz
- Clohars-Carnoet on the beach of Laïta. Dogs are allowed, but on a leash.
- Guisseny on all the beaches of the town but before 10 a.m. and after 8 p.m. Dogs must be on a leash.
- Hospital-Camfrout on all the beaches of the town, unless otherwise stated. Dogs are allowed but on a leash.
- Plougoulm on all the beaches of the town. Dogs are allowed, but on a leash.
- Plouneour-Brigognan-Beaches on Lidivig beach. Dogs are allowed, but on a leash.
Outside these ranges, the refractory risk a fine of 38 euros.
