An employee was stabbed on Tuesday July 19, 2022, in the middle of the evening, in a restaurant located in downtown Rouen. Her attacker is on the run.

The scene took place on Tuesday July 19, 2022, around 10 p.m., in the restaurant, Cancan, located on the Place du Vieux-Marché in Rouen (Seine-Maritime).
According to the first elements collected on the spot, two employees of this Rouen restaurant had a dispute while the evening service was not over.
What happened in the kitchens?
According to a customer of the restaurant who was dining on the terrace, the two men emerged from the kitchens. The victim, the white shirt stained with blood, was pursued by another man armed with a knife.
Under the eyes of the dumbfounded customers, the alleged attacker chased his colleague outside the establishment.
A Spanish doctor provides first aid
At rue du Vieux-Palais, the security guard of a neighboring establishment managed to talk for a few moments with the alleged attacker. Seeming to realize the seriousness of his gesture, he fled.
A doctor – a Spaniard on vacation in Rouen – who was on the terrace in a nearby establishment then rescued the injured man who had returned to take refuge in the Cancan. This doctor gave him first aid before the arrival of the fire brigade. The victim was particularly hit in the stomach.
The injured man was then transported to Rouen University Hospital by firefighters.
Arrived quickly on the spot, the police began to question the employees of the restaurant as well as the customers.
