A 20-year-old young man was arrested on Thursday, November 3 in the morning by the police in Saint-Avold (Moselle), suspected of having filmed himself on the social network Snapchat in the process of butchering a cat, learned on Thursday 3. The Mosel National Police received a report on Wednesday condemning a video on the social network of a young man filming himself butchering a cat. On Thursday morning, the 20-year-old was therefore arrested at his home and placed in police custody.

An investigation into “cruelty and mistreatment of farm animals” has been opened, Sarreguemines public prosecutor Olivier Glady told France Bleu Lorraine Nord. This young man risks five years in prison and a fine of 75,000 euros.
