Anne Alassane inaugurates a new restaurant, the Trattoria Sainte-Anne in Limoges

Original and surprising, Anne Alassane, who won the first season of master chefis a key figure in regional gastronomy.

Creative, sparkling, this enthusiast, who is already at the head of the Lanaud restaurant in Boisseuil, likes to question herself. To the Trattoria Sainte-Anne23 avenue de la Liberation in Limoges, she writes this Friday, alongside Séverine Bru, associated with this project, a new page.

Italy on the plate

It was on the other side of the Alps that the two accomplices found their inspiration. In the country of Fellini, the trattoria refers to a place where the cuisine is simple, family. It’s a bit like the French equivalent of bistros. “We are developing this concept by offering Italian specialties cooked with local products,” says Séverine Bru.

Of course, the oven, which works on a wood fire, is ideal for making pizzas and the pasta is homemade. For the rest, it’s every day the feast of antipasti or aubergines with Parmigiana, the Italian version of aubergine gratin. If Anne manages the kitchen part, Séverine Bru takes care of the cellar.Anne Alassane

Designed during lockdown

“Originally from Isère, I arrived in Limoges in 2007. As I worked within the Beauvallet group, I came regularly to the region where I met Anne Alassane. In particular, I took part in the Limousine Days. During the lockdown, Anne designed this project, and offered me to join it. This concept around wine and Italian cuisine appealed to me”, says Séverine Bru.

At the back of the restaurant, bottles are displayed. Thanks to a distributor, good wines, grand and even very grand crus are served by the glass.

Deco from hell

As for the decoration, the two managers asked for sizes. The tables were made by the Norman company “La Manivelle en carton”. Claire Gaudriot also illustrates the recipe books specially designed for the establishment. Jérôme Rasto created a fresco. This is a free adaptation of The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. Drastik Déko put his graffiti talents at the service of furniture. Result: a kitsch, pop, very pleasant place.
