“In the neighborhood, I am a UFO! » On May 24, 2022, Antoine Champel opened The Bidule11 rue Candale in Bordeauxin place of the old traditional restaurant Chez Fanfan.
Chic decoration, worked card, this new bar-restaurant clashes a bit in the Victory district where the bistros rather bet on the price of beers to attract customers – mainly students drained by line B of the tramway.
A dish of the day at 11 euros
In his new establishment, therefore, Antoine Champel has decided to bet instead on a chef, who concocts a dish of the day every lunchtime at 11 euros (dish-dessert-coffee at 14 euros).
Aiguillette of chicken, beef tataki, fillet of sea bream… Every day, the contents of the plate change for lunch but there are “always fresh products”.
And the night ? “We offer a menu of dishes to share,” explains Antoine Champel, with prices ranging between 5.50 and 11 euros.
Cold cuts, cheeses, meat and seafood, or even vegetarian compositions… There’s something for everyone!
A happy hour from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
To toast, the owner of the place offers a happy hour from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with cocktails at 5 euros: Aperol spritz, mojito, lady spritz (based on gin), caipirinha…
“We also have a nice organic or biodynamic wine list and the PIP in local beer. The idea is that people don’t just come here for a bite to eat but stay for a drink. Let it be a warm place! », advocates Antoine Champel, who has just moved to Bordeaux, after having started his career in catering in Paris.
Opening time : Tuesday to Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to midnight, as well as Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a brunch formula.
