Boxing: Tyson Fury banned from the United States for links with a cartel

Boxer Tyson Fury, unofficially retired from the rings since the end of April, will no longer be able to fight in the United States because of his links with the leader of a cartel, revealed the British press.

Tyson Fury will no longer be able to travel to the United States to fight boxing. Access was denied to him for non-direct links with a cartel targeted by American justice.

After announcing his desire to fight UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou soon, the “Gypsy King”, who announced his retirement in his last victory against Dillian Whyte in April at Wembley, will have to find a place out of the States -United. Blame it on his ties to Irish cartel leader Daniel Kinahan, according to the Sunday World.

Author of a book on Tyson Fury, journalist Nicola Tallant explains that the British boxer was refused entry to the United States on Friday because of these links with the cartel leader who is in the sights of American justice (5 million dollars offered for any information concerning Kinahan). Without specifying the nature of these links.

The holder of the WBC heavyweight belt was indeed disembarked from a flight to the United States recently because of his presence on a list of 600 names forbidden to stay on American soil.
