HAVE Seas-les-Bainsin Sum, The Assist’O’Chats association is organizing until today, Sunday 30 October 2022, a toy fair in the Salle des Mailleuls, near the fire station.

The association was founded four years ago and has three major actions: protection of cats through their identification; the limitation of their spread thanks to sterilization and she also does everything to get kittens from the street thanksadoption. It operates in the sector for 70 municipalities.

In the toy market, kittens are also waiting to be adopted. “Two were yesterday Saturday,” the volunteers say. “There are still 7 left today. We will also be offering cats for adoption in Cayeux sur Mer, Tuesday November 1st and Sunday November 6th”. An ID and carrier are required, as well as adoption fees.

Support is requested

The association still has to deal with the spread of cats. “As soon as people feed a stray cat, they should contact the association to report it and avoid spreading the litter. There is a lack of awareness among municipalities and residents about sterilization to prevent spread”.

Meanwhile, the stray pigs are waiting for a new home… but the association is struggling to finance all the costs. “We are feeling the effects of the current crisis on donations, which are an important source of our funding. However, flea markets and toy fairs work well. People are made aware of the theme of used. We have added flea markets and toy fair organizations at the end of the year”.

The association also seeks volunteers to help organize events and encourages individuals to donate items to flea markets.

In Cayeux-sur-Mer
