See my news
We told you about it a few weeks ago: the project is now a reality and the business is opening this Friday, June 17, 2022, at 18 hours. Laur’Asia – that’s her name – replaces the old pily and will delight fans of Japanese cuisine.
Native Cherbourg (Manche), Laura Croisy cut her teeth “in the kitchens of La Gourmandine and Le Pily”, and also had enriching experiences at La Marine (Carteret) as well as in Australia.
From Japanese sushi masters
“Since 2017, in contact with several Japanese sushi masters (Editor’s note: in Geneva and Megève), I learned and I develop rigor and traditional technique, which are essential ingredients for the production of artistic and gustatory dishes, recalls the young woman from 29 years on Facebook. The availability of Pierre and Lydie’s premises, added to my wish to return to the Cotentin, was obvious. »
“It’s the ideal place for you to discover my passion for Japanese cuisine (with products coming directly from there) combined with the richness of our local products: vegetables and fish selected with respect for the seasons and the environment. »
For the moment, to taste his dishes, he is necessary to order by phone and come get her. You can then enjoy it on the spot or to take away.
Three boxes based on trust
“The concept is simple: I offer three boxes of sushi of different sizes which I named omakasea Japanese expression that means I defer to you. It is therefore based on trust, customers have no choice in composing their box, ”underlines Laura Croisy, who is looking for an employee to help her in the kitchen.
The small bay (10 pieces) is €16; the large harbor (20 pieces) at €31; the horizon (30 pieces) at €46. “The contents of these boxes will change regularly, they will be made up of nigiri, hosomaki, uramaki, sashimi…” Cherbourg salmon, sea bream, mackerel, sea bass, cuttlefish, squid, whelk, moussette, spider crab, crab, lobster… So many flavors that you can find “by surprise” in your omakase.
A grocery corner
On site, you can also buy sake and other Japanese alcohols, salmon tatakis, seaweed salads, miso soups, as well as “frozen desserts with Japanese flavors in collaboration with pastry chef Jean-François Foucher”. We salivate in advance.
