EOS launches its manufacturing network with 7 partners ready to meet different AM needs

Organizations looking to produce parts using additive manufacturing, from rapid prototyping to small runs of 1,000 parts, can turn to the EOS network.

A few weeks ago, during a morning coffee chat with Marcus Glasser and Marius Lakomiec from EOS, we discussed ways to make advanced technology solutions available to more industrial companies that may not always have the funds to pay for them. And Glasser, senior vice president of EMEA, said EOS was working on a contract manufacturing process with certified manufacturers that would allow SMBs to take advantage of advanced digital manufacturing solutions. This solution is now effective since yesterday EOS announced the creation of a new contract production network.

This network connects end customers with established AM manufacturing partners so they can create high quality parts quickly and reliably. Initially, the network will be established in the EMEA region with seven partners, namely FKM, Erpro, Volum-E, Pankl, Materialise, Oerlikon, Hasenauer & Hesser. It will be expanded internationally with the arrival of new partners in the coming months. The new contract manufacturing network builds on EOS’s offerings in its existing partner network. Customers looking for a trusted additive manufacturing partner to produce their parts, rather than manufacturing them in-house, can turn to the network for support – from rapid prototyping to small runs of 1,000 parts.

What criteria must be met to become a network partner?

Companies wishing to become partners are subject to an in-depth and specific assessment where they must meet certain criteria, such as the need to serve customers across the EMEA region. Experienced partners must have installed a minimum of five EOS systems from the latest generation of machines, which are continuously maintained and inspected. EOS offers all the necessary tools to provide remote service as part of a preventive maintenance program that enables EOS production partners to deliver the highest level of system performance and uptime.

In addition, Contract Manufacturer Network partners must process EOS or EOS Ecosystem powder with their systems to ensure they can maintain the network’s clearly defined quality promise.

To ensure high quality standards, the partner must have a proven quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 standard and meet defined key performance indicators in areas such as customer satisfaction, scrap prices and on-time delivery.

Partners in the EOS Contract Manufacturing Network will be included in the MakerVerse Partner Hub, an EOS-branded platform. Network partners will thus have the opportunity to extend their reach to potential end customers and at the same time make the ordering process as simple as possible. EOS Contract Manufacturing Network’s collaboration with MakerVerse as a fulfillment partner gives customers access to all the manufacturing capabilities of the EOS Contract Manufacturing Network at their fingertips, while questions, payments, orders and invoicing are all supported.
