The analyzed references are as follows: Picard, Carrefour Sensation, Little Moons, Exquis Mochi, La Compagnie du Mochi and Erhard from Lidl.
Sometimes problematic compositions
Most of these products are highly processed and sometimes very high in carbohydrates. It is a rich dessert, although it often contains little or no fat. 60 million consumers discovered the presence of many additives in most of the analyzed references. For the Picard brand, mochis have a very long list of ingredients: almost 18 ingredients. The record is broken by the brand Little Moons or La Compagnie du Mochi with their ingredient lists of 21 and 25 units. Many additives are used in the preparation of this specialty. They have a function of preservative, flavor enhancer or even thickener.
A high price and a sometimes distant origin

At the top of the ranking we find frozen mochis Erhard sold at Lidl. They have a much more affordable price: they are sold at 17.52 euros per kg. However, the list of ingredients is not ideal. More than 18 ingredients including additives are referenced.
Another reference stands out, these are mochis ofExquisite Mochi. Made in France, the list of ingredients is much shorter with 10 ingredients.
Next on the list is mochi from Crossroads Sensation. Despite the 14 ingredients, the price per kg is 22.33 euros.
While not absolutely to be avoided, frozen mochis are a sweet dessert that should be consumed in moderation.
