Foods not to eat at night to lose weight

If one wishes losing weight, the first thing to do is to adapt your diet. This does not mean following a drastic diet, quite the contrary – these are dangerous for your health and can lead to eating disorders. But follow a healthy and balanced diet, avoiding a few odds. Fries

This is not a surprise: it is advisable to avoid eating fried foods before going to sleep. Even more if you want to lose pounds.

These are very fatty foods, which are often poorly digested and can lead to cramps and heartburn. Your night’s sleep will be disrupted. And we know today, poor sleep hygiene promotes weight gain.

In addition, the night is the time when our body stores the most. If you dine on fried foods, it will mainly store fat.

The cold cuts

Like fried foods, charcuterie should be avoided in the evening. It is not well digested by our body because it is too fatty.

Consumed on a regular basis, deli meats can lead to cardiovascular problems and an increase in bad cholesterol. It can also promote the appearance of pimples.

Ripened cheeses

It is difficult in France to do without cheese after a good meal. But before going to sleep, it’s really not ideal.

Ripened and fermented cheeses contain a molecule called tyramine, which has a hypertensive effect. They are also not recommended to keep the line, and can cause digestive disorders if consumed in too large quantities.

Prefer a white cheese with a little compote, for example.

Red meat

Did you know ? Whether you want to lose weight or not, it is advisable not to eat red meat in the evening.

And this, because it has a high protein and fat content, which prevents you from sleeping well. We repeat: a good night’s sleep is the key to lasting and healthy weight loss.

The fast food

Again, this is not a scoop. Fast food is to be avoided in general, but even more so in the evening.

They are difficult to digest, too greasy and above all, make you thirsty. Hello hell night! They also greatly promote weight gain.

If you want to make a cheat meal, it is better to eat your fast food for lunch.

The alcohol

Most often, alcohol is consumed in the evening, during an aperitif. But it’s probably the worst time to drink it.

Alcohol acts as a stimulant, which will ruin your sleep. In addition, alcoholic beverages are very caloric and turn into fat in your body, which will not facilitate your weight loss.

We also avoid rushing on chips, peanuts and aperitif biscuits of all kinds, which are harmful to health. Prefer carrot or cucumber sticks.

Refined cereals and breads

Pasta, white rice, white bread… These foods should be avoided in the evening so as not to gain weight, because they are made with refined flours. They are more caloric and have little nutritional value.

The best is to opt for whole pasta or coral lentils for example, or to replace the rice with spelled. Experts also advise adding a portion of protein to your dish.

Ice cream

In summer, we often only want to finish the meal with a good ice cream.

But they are very fatty, sweet and caloric. If you want to melt the kilos, favor sorbets. Even better if they are homemade!

Pastries and pastries

Pastries and pastries must remain guilty pleasures. These are high-calorie foods that promote weight gain.

It is therefore consumed with great moderation, and especially not in the evening!

Sugar

In the same vein, we avoid cakes, cookies, candies and chocolate bars before going to bed.

You will have difficulty sleeping and your body will store fat.
