He crushes a cat in Flémalle then threatens the owners with a knife

On Sunday, at 7:30 p.m., a man from Flémalle and born in the late 1950s was deprived of his liberty in Flémalle for acts of threat, indicated the Liège prosecutor’s office. Earlier, the suspect ran over a cat under the gaze of its owners since the facts occurred in front of their home. The driver then stopped his vehicle a few meters higher. The owner of the animal went to meet the motorist, with the firm intention of discussing with him. Something the suspect did not seem to consider.

The man then got back into his vehicle with the firm intention of restarting. But the cat’s owner was stationed in front of the vehicle. She also took advantage of the situation to take a picture of the license plate. She then had to withdraw because the motorist threatened to run her over.

The suspect then left the scene before turning around and returning a few minutes later. When he arrived in front of the house, the companion of the owner of the cat was in front of the house. The suspect then got out of his vehicle armed with a knife, walked towards the victim and said: “I will find you”.

He denies the facts

The suspect was referred Monday morning to the Liège prosecutor’s office for threatening by gesture. He denies the facts of threat and denies having used a knife. However, a switchblade knife, which matches the description provided by the victim, was found in the passenger compartment of his vehicle.

As for the chat, the driver minimizes the facts. He explained that he couldn’t avoid it, so it wasn’t his fault.
