A complaint was filed Saturday by the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) of Nîmes, and an investigation is underway after the theft of the puppy “Texto” in the kennels of the association located on the road to Sauve. This little hunting dog, an 8-month-old English setter, was no longer in his enclosure on Saturday morning when the volunteers who came to take care of the animals arrived. It had been stolen during the night, without any break-in. The thief would have passed over the fence before leaving with the canine. This dog arouses a lot of envy, since several people were interested in adopting him. But the SPA has a right of inspection and gives its approval before any adoption, in order to ensure that the families meet the conditions and to try to find the best profiles for future adoptions. A control of the SPA even more necessary since the puppy needs care.
An investigation is therefore underway to find the pet, identified by an electronic chip. Dozens of budding investigators have been looking for the pretty setter since this weekend. The SPA indicates that it has proof of the identity of the thieves and asks that the puppy be brought back as soon as possible in order to treat it….
